Claire Ward is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and Accredited Sports Dietitian with more than 25 years of professional experience. As the Director of Ward Nutrition, she leads a dedicated team of dietitians committed to delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based nutrition care. In 2019, Claire was recognised as one of Australia’s top five Rural Practitioners of the Year.
Claire holds a Master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, providing her with advanced clinical training and ensuring she remains a credible, up‑to‑date source of nutrition expertise. She is highly skilled at translating complex scientific evidence into practical, personalised strategies that help clients achieve meaningful and sustainable health outcomes.
Claire specialises in body composition management and supports clients across a wide range of needs, including those undergoing bariatric surgery, individuals using weight‑loss medications such as semaglutide (Wegovy/Ozempic) and tirzepatide (Mounjaro), athletes seeking performance improvements, and women navigating fertility and broader women’s health concerns. She also works extensively with clients experiencing disordered eating patterns. Claire’s approach integrates clinical expertise with compassionate nutrition counselling to support both physical and psychological wellbeing.
Claire has advanced training in eating disorders and is recognised as an approved practitioner by the Australian Centre for Feeding and Eating Disorders (ACFED) and the Butterfly Foundation. She also holds ANZAED credentials in eating disorder treatment. Claire completed her Sports Dietitian training at the Australian Institute of Sport and maintains accreditation through Sports Dietitians Australia. In addition, she has trained with and continues to collaborate closely with specialist dietitians from the RPA Allergy Unit, supporting clients with food intolerances and allergies.
Claire provides specialised support in women’s and children’s health. She is an approved fertility and prenatal dietitian, assisting individuals and couples seeking to optimise their diet for conception, manage conditions such as PCOS and endometriosis, and improve reproductive health outcomes.
Claire also works closely with bariatric surgeons at Central West Surgery, and Dr Cat Crane from Orange Healthy Weight Clinic in providing comprehensive pre‑ and post‑operative nutrition care. With more than a decade of experience in bariatric nutrition and working with people using weight loss medication, she is an active member of ANZMOSS and delivers ongoing, evidence‑based guidance to support long‑term weight‑loss success.
Beyond her clinical work, Claire offers consultancy services to corporate organisations, legal reports, food manufacturers, schools, and healthcare facilities. With 12 years of experience in hospital and aged‑care food service departments across the Central West, she provides expert menu assessments, reviews, and nutrition‑focused operational guidance to organisations seeking to improve food quality and meet industry standards
Nadia Fathinia is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and an SOS trained Feeding Therapist who has completed her Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics at Sydney University. Nadia has also completed further study with the Monash University Low FODMAP course on IBS and gut health and is passionate about helping people manage their symptoms. Being plant-based herself, Nadia can also assist those who are vegetarian/vegan or looking to reduce their meat or dairy consumption.
Nadia is well versed in assisting clients with feeding issues, particularly children with sensory challenges and 'fussy eaters', and she works with a range of clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD and more. Being SOS trained, Nadia has the skills and experience to identify the unique reasons why children won't eat and provide practical family-centred strategies to improve feeding issues. Nadia is currently seeing clients with an Occupational Therapist through Orange Feeding Clinic to assist those in this area. Nadia also provides nutrition and dietetic support to Anson Street Special School twice a week by supporting children with disabilities to improve their nutritional status and quality of life. She runs weekly cooking programs and helps build staff knowledge and skills to better support the children nutritionally.
Nadia's training and expertise in Disorders of Gut Brain Interaction, including IBS, has helped countless clients find symptom relief and long-term diet strategies to manage their condition. A low FODMAP diet is one of many strategies Nadia may utilise as she will tailor recommendations to suit your individual needs. Nadia undergoes regular training in this area to keep her practice up to date.
Nadia also works with those who have undergone or about to undergo bariatric surgery. Nadia has completed multiple additional training courses run by IFSO and ANZMOSS to keep bariatric and nutrition knowledge in line with best practice guidelines and updated evidence. Nadia has helped many clients achieve and maintain a healthy and balanced lifestyle and ensuring adequate macro- and micronutrient intake after bariatric surgery.
Andy Zhao is Accredited Practicing Dietitian working across residential aged care facilities in the Central West. Andy provides evidence based, individualized nutrition care with a particular focus on supporting people living with a disability and those with complex nutrition needs.
Andy is committed to person-centered care, collaborating closely with clients, families, carers and health care teams to optimize health, function and quality of life through tailored dietary interventions.
Home visits consultations are available in Dubbo, Orange, Cowra, Parkes, Molong and Canowindra offering Professional dietetic support in comfort and privacy if your own home . Andy is also now offering bulk billed clinic at Medispring Family General Practice in Cowra.

Ella Mackie is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with a strong commitment to improving health through evidence‑based nutrition care. She has extensive experience supporting clients in chronic disease management, healthy eating and weight management, GLP‑1 medication support, binge‑eating concerns, and food service and menu assessments. Ella is also well‑versed in the new aged‑care food standards and can assist facilities in meeting compliance requirements for accreditation. In addition, she is available for community and group education sessions.
Ella graduated from the University of Newcastle with First Class Honours, where her research focused on addictive eating and disordered eating behaviors. She is passionate about continuing her professional development in this area to further support individuals experiencing eating disorders. Ella has also completed the RAVES course supporting people who struggle with disordered eating practices.
Ella offers both telehealth and face‑to‑face appointments at our Orange clinic. She also provides dietetic services to residents in aged‑care facilities across Orange, Bathurst, and the broader Central West region.
